Seller and purchase channels
NowSquare develops and maintains Made with Pepper. Official licenses are sold through Gumroad or a direct written agreement with NowSquare. The checkout store may add buyer and payment terms, tax handling, and dispute and refund processes.
Mandatory checkout-store rules control the payment transaction if they conflict with these terms. These terms continue to govern use of the software, updates, support and license access. The product name does not alter rights from an existing purchase.
License scope
Pepper is licensed, not sold. A valid license gives access to the software package and full source code, with updates and support for the periods below.
- One license covers one production installation for one business.
- You may also run non-production installations for local development or staging under that license, provided they do not serve live business operations.
- You may modify the code for your licensed installation.
- You may not resell, sublicense, publish, share or redistribute the source as a competing product, template, package or service.
Updates
The first year costs $99 and includes the software licence, full source code and one year of ZIP download access. Your licence never expires. You may continue to run your downloaded copy after update access ends.
The Gumroad membership renews automatically at $199 per year for continued download access. Cancel through your Gumroad receipt or Library to stop future charges. You retain access until the end of your paid period; then access to the product ZIP and future updates ends. Cancellation does not end your right to use software already downloaded. Update access requires a valid, non-refunded licence.
Update renewal does not extend product support.
Product support
Your purchase includes six months of product support unless checkout or a written agreement states otherwise. Contact [email protected] with your purchase reference.
We investigate bugs and built-in features that do not work as expected, including the supplied installation and update process. During an investigation, we can check relevant settings or clarify a documented setup step. You do not need to know the cause before contacting us.
You or your developer handle installation, operation and code changes. Product support excludes personal walkthroughs, training, business advice, programming tuition, code explanations or reviews, custom development, debugging modified code or integrations, and hosting administration.
Support is by email in English. Allow several working days for a reply. Response and fix times vary. We do not offer urgent or on-call support, calls, screen sharing or hands-on server work.
Purchase, license-access, download and security-reporting channels remain available after product support ends. See the support page.
Refunds
Pepper delivers complete, unencrypted source code. Review the demo and documentation before buying.
Within 14 days: you may request a full refund for any reason, without justification. Email [email protected] and we will process it.
After a refund: the license ends. Stop using the software and remove all copies of its source files from your servers.
Defective product: if the software is defective or does not work as described, contact support. We will fix the issue or refund the purchase, whichever fits the problem. This provision has no time limit after purchase.
Direct or custom purchases: the 14-day policy applies unless a signed written agreement between you and NowSquare specifies different refund or cancellation terms for that purchase.
Your responsibilities
Unless a separate written managed-service agreement says otherwise, you are responsible for hosting, installation, backups, security settings, email services, data-protection compliance, local business rules and the invoicing operations you run with the software.
Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide the software “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for every business scenario. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license that gave rise to the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the product constitutes acceptance of updated terms. We will announce material changes through the changelog.
