Version 1.0.0
October 9, 2026
The first Made with Pepper release connects customers, agreed work, invoices and business money in one self-hosted application.
Install 1.0.0 on a new, empty database. Follow the installation guide. Future updates use the dashboard.
New
Invoices, quotes, pro-formas and credit notes
Create and review documents in one workspace, with discounts, mixed tax rates, draft line ordering and a checklist before issue. Review and issue shows the customer, expected number and total before confirmation; issuing assigns the number and sends no email.
From quote to invoice
Customers accept quotes through signed links. Convert accepted quotes and pro-formas into linked invoice drafts.
Exact amounts and payment history
PHP calculates exact totals, keeping each currency's amounts and decimal precision separate. Record or reverse payments and refunds, and issue credit notes against an invoice without deleting their history.
Customers, suppliers and items
Keep customer and supplier contacts, addresses, tags and billing history together. Import customers and catalog items from CSV with column mapping and previews, including customer source labels and batch tags.
Agreed work and milestone billing
Engagements connect agreed scope and fixed-price milestones to invoice drafts and collection. Review linked purchases as engagement costs, with totals per currency.
Purchases and receipts
Record purchases with a supplier, category, receipt file and exact net, tax and gross amounts. Void a wrong purchase while preserving its history.
Tax periods for your accountant
Compare sales and purchase tax by month, quarter and year, with links from each figure to its records. Download an accountant ZIP or a PDF summary; these exports do not file a tax return.
PDF originals and current copies
Choose from three PDF layouts, set document branding and include EPC payment QR codes on eligible EUR invoices. Issued originals retain their details and fingerprints; Download current copy includes current payments and credits while keeping the original.
Local UBL XML export
Export supported issued invoices and credit notes as UBL 2.1 files for the Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 profile. XML export supports currencies with zero or two decimals.
Document email with delivery history
Email documents with their issued original PDF attached, through an outbox that retries temporary failures and keeps delivery attempts. An uncertain result stays visible for review; mail-server acceptance does not prove inbox delivery.
Recurring invoices and reminders
Schedule daily, weekly or monthly recurring invoices, choosing draft review or automatic issue and sending. Configure payment reminders with stages and customer exceptions, and review recipients and the balance before confirming a manual reminder.
Home and financial reports
Home brings attention items, current balances and recent work together. Reports include business analysis, aging, tax reports, customer statements and CSV downloads, with currencies separate and periods identified where applicable.
Navigation across your work
Find permitted records through search, Favorites, All apps and New, with navigation grouped into Money, Sales and Work. Desktop, tablet and phone layouts include light and dark themes, saved register views, filters and row context.
People and teams
Keep staff profiles, working hours, recorded time off and dated hourly rates. Group colleagues into teams and review handovers when someone leaves.
Roles and sign-in controls
Use four built-in roles, custom roles and guest access limited to selected areas and records. Configure invitations, two-factor sign-in and OpenID Connect SSO, review active sessions and sign out other devices.
Files beside business records
Keep files in folders, attach them to records and retain earlier versions. Share files through links with an expiry and an optional password.
MCP and HTTP connections
Connect clients through scoped credentials or MCP browser sign-in to read permitted records, preview exact totals and prepare invoice drafts. A person approves one invoice before the client executes issue, within 10 minutes of preparation; no model account is required.
Localization and administration
The interface, PDFs and email templates support 13 languages, including Arabic layout and bundled fonts for Japanese and Chinese PDFs. Configure company details, numbering, tax rates, bank accounts and document branding, and review the audit log.
Backups and future updates
Create database and media backups, set retention and encrypt manual archives. The Update page checks compatible future packages and makes a backup before installation, with rollback on failure.
Self-hosting and your own demo
The buyer package includes PHP dependencies and compiled assets for installation without Composer, Node.js or a frontend build. Initialize a disposable demo from a deployment script without the web installer; later rebuilds preserve logins and replace business records.
Use PHP 8.4 or newer with MySQL 8.4, or MariaDB 10.11, 11.4 or 11.8. Demo rebuilding requires MySQL 8.4. See Requirements.
Payment processing, bank feeds, bookkeeping, tax filing, general task planning and a customer portal are outside this release. UBL export does not provide Peppol network delivery or government submission. Customer-data AI suggestions remain inactive. Agent connections cannot send email, record payments, export files or change bank and tax settings.
