What a desk changes

A desk is a way to look at one business, not a separate copy of it. Switch during the day and nothing moves.
- Home and the menu follow the desk.
- Choose Money and Home reads cash in, money owed, open quotes and unbilled work. Choose Bookings and it shows today’s schedule with the next booking highlighted.
- Nothing is copied between desks.
- The invoice you issue on Money is the invoice Sales sees on the customer and Accounting sees in the period. Search and keyboard shortcuts still reach every page you may open.
- Desks also set access.
- Owners and admins give each role or person their desks. Below Admin, a desk limits what a person can open, even through a saved link or an AI client. Everything removes that limit; permissions still apply.
Client businesses
Give a client business one desk.
If you run Pepper for client businesses, each customer workspace gets one desk from its plan: Venue, Showcase or Listings. Its pages hold only that business’s permitted widgets, and invoicing stays with you.
