An invoice needs the right business details and tax treatment. A structured-invoice requirement can also specify a format and delivery channel. Check each part before choosing software.
The European Commission’s invoicing overview explains the EU baseline and the role of national rules. Your tax authority or accountant can confirm the requirements for your business and transaction.
Four checks before issuing
- Business details: confirm the seller, customer, addresses and applicable tax identifiers.
- The transaction: check descriptions, quantities, prices, dates, number, tax rates and required notes.
- The file: establish whether the recipient needs a PDF or a named structured format.
- Delivery: establish whether a network, approved provider or government portal is required.
What Pepper supplies
Pepper prepares numbered invoices with customer and company details, line items, tax breakdowns and totals. You choose the tax rates and add the notes your situation requires. The application does not decide the legal treatment.
For supported documents, it also downloads UBL XML. It does not send invoices through Peppol or submit them to a government portal. Do not treat a local XML export as a complete compliance service.
