For your business

Keep the scope connected to the invoice

For small agencies billing fixed-price work, and teams maintaining installations for clients.

Updated

An agency needs to know what the client agreed, which work is ready to bill and what has been collected. Pepper connects those records through fixed-price engagements.

Bill the agreed milestones

Keep versions of the agreed scope. Add milestones with their fixed prices and tax details. Completed work needs internal approval before it can become an invoice draft. The engagement follows the linked invoices and recorded collection.

Link purchase costs to an engagement to see its evidence. That link does not rebill the purchase to the client. Time tracking, task boards, partial milestone billing and customer portal approvals are not included.

Give staff the right access

Owner, admin, employee and accountant roles control the released product. Employees manage permitted records they created. Accountants can read the financial records and export a period without approving milestones or preparing invoices. Read the access rules.

Customer records hold contacts and billing history. Reports keep currencies separate.

Installing for clients

Each client business needs its own production installation and license. You can use the source code to adapt that installation and charge for your separate installation or maintenance service. Pepper does not host multiple client businesses inside one installation.

Agree who handles hosting, email, backups and updates before handover. Keep custom code in version control and test changes on staging. The built-in updater refuses modified files; custom code needs a managed update process.
