DesksAccounting

Hand your accountant a complete period.

The Accounting desk keeps what your accountant asks for at the end of a period: every sale, every purchase with its receipt and the tax on each. Home tells you which receipts are missing and which lines still need a category before the quarter closes.

Pepper prepares the hand-off. The bookkeeping and the tax return stay with your accountant.

Purchases

Record every purchase with its receipt.

Enter the supplier, the exact net, tax and gross amounts and a category, then attach the receipt. The register has status tabs, search and the same row menu as every other list in Pepper.

Record purchases

Tax periods

See the year by month, quarter and year.

The year overview shows every month, quarter and the full year. Open a period to see sales and purchases by tax rate, with each currency on its own. Home’s Quarter instrument shows whether a quarter was exported and whether its figures changed since.

Prepare a tax period

Source records

Open the records behind a figure.

Every figure in a period opens the documents that make it up, each with its customer, date, number, amount and tax. Your accountant can check a total without asking you for the list.

Reports

Run the tax, aging and statement reports.

The reports overview shows each day’s payments in a month calendar and each open invoice as a line from issue to due date. Download the tax report, the aging report, customer statements and the invoice export as CSV, one currency at a time.

E-invoicing

Export UBL files and check them before issue.

Export issued invoices and credit notes as UBL 2.1 files for the Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 profile. An optional readiness rule keeps an invoice as a draft until its export details are complete, and links to the fixes.

Money overview

Compare revenue, selected costs and cash.

Choose which purchase categories count as costs and whether their tax counts. Read the result beside the previous period, by issue date or payment date, in each currency.

Audit log

Show who did what.

The audit log records actions and sampled reads. Verify its stored chain, export signed evidence and prepare a data-subject report. Issued originals and financial figures survive personal-field erasure.

The limits stay visible

What this desk does not do.

Every desk works on the same customers, documents and files. Switch desks in the top bar and the records stay where they are.

  • Pepper is not bookkeeping. It keeps no general ledger, files no tax return and does not decide which tax is recoverable.
  • There is no bank feed or reconciliation. Staff record payments and purchases by hand, or Stripe confirms an online payment.
  • Period exports are a hand-off for your accountant. They do not certify compliance.

Who gets this desk

Owners and admins have every desk. They give each role or person the desks they need and can rename this desk or arrange its pages. Below Admin, a desk also limits what a person can open, even through a saved link or an AI client.
