Steps that stay with people | Made with Pepper Agent API

AI is optional. An AI client can do the everyday work of each app, and the sensitive steps after the delegated person approves each one. See Approve sensitive steps. The steps on this page have no tool at all. No grant, role or approval opens them to an AI client.

There are three reasons:

Your own sign-in, devices, consent and approvals. Passwords, two-factor authentication, sessions and devices, security settings, AI connections and their grants, the approval of a request, and ownership transfer. An approval is the human step itself, so an AI client cannot give it.
Installing code, or moving the whole installation out or back. Installing updates, and downloading or restoring a backup. A backup holds every record of the installation. An AI client can make a backup after approval; a person downloads it in Settings > Backups.
Only the visitor or customer does this, as themselves. Claiming an offer, reserving a place, giving or withdrawing consent, answering a question or approving a proof as the customer, and unsubscribing.

The key in each table names the step in the installation's tool registry. Settings > Agent connections > Apps and access shows each app's tools and how many of its steps stay with people.
